Mission Statement

The mission of TLCDHH is to promote cultural appreciation, leadership skills, personal and professional development, preservation of the rights, and quality of life among Deaf and Hard of Hearing Latinos in Texas.


Texas Latino Council of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TLCDHH) was created to promote and maintain Latino culture and awareness within Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities across Texas. TLCDHH also aspires to offer its members exciting and unique opportunities to address various issues on an interdisciplinary level based on research, industry, education, and public life, which bring more understanding to the issues that affect our daily lives and allow us to enhance our personal and professional development. Plus, TLCDHH seeks to enrich the experience for its members by sponsoring activities which promote cultural enrichment and social interaction. In addition, TLCDHH endeavors to expose Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth to the richness, diversity, and excitement of Latino culture in hopes of instilling confidence and pride in them for their Latino culture and ability to pursue and achieve their dreams.Much needed services and issues that are of concern to TLCDHH members include but not limited to:

The TLCDHH is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization supported by the generosity of individual and community donors, including corporations and foundations.
